Dan has 20 years' experience in data and analytics, first in academia then across multiple industry verticals with Capital One, Experian, Virgin Media and TUI to name a few. Dan has spent much of this time in the digital space; he has built analytics and optimisation teams from scratch, grown data-focussed cultures with education programmes, trained hundreds of non-specialists to empower them with data self-service, and driven millions in incremental business revenue. Dan's current role is Head of Analytics at Haven, the UK's leading holiday park operator welcoming over 3 million guests and 25,000 holiday home owners each year. Over the last 5 years he has been building and growing analytics/ insight capabilities and maturity in the midst of a large scale digital transformation.
When Dan Grainger joined in June 2019, Haven's digital data landscape was suffering from no true ownership, poorly implemented digital data collection and widespread mistrust in digital reporting and insights.
