With the emergence of AI, building a skilled data team has never been more essential for harnessing the value and power of data-driven decision-making. Explore the critical skillsets required to assemble a high-performing data team that can navigate the complexities of modern BFSI. A robust data team is nonnegotiable, but what do you find to be the skills that are harder to recruit for, is your team ready for the new “AI driven Data Revolution”? Are more soft skills and a collaborative mindset needed or is it all about a new technical skillset?
• Discuss what you find to be the most in-demand and harder to recruit for technical skills for data teams in the BFSI sector today
• Debate the success rate of different strategies employed to upskill existing teams to meet new demands
• Assess the sector’s preparedness for integrating AI and machine learning technologies and what the data team of tomorrow needs to look like
When prioritizing data initiatives based on business impact and strategic alignment, data leaders in the sector are now trying to select a few strategic areas where data can drive significant value. In choosing initiatives that can be delivered in a shorter time frame, tested, and measured for impact at a smaller, deeper scale, and then scaled up if successful CDOs can focus their resources more efficiently.
• Weigh up the benefits and drawbacks of both depth (in-depth change of specific domains) and breadth (covering multiple areas)
• Hear from industry peers how changing their strategy has impacted their work and the team’s integration within the wider company
• Assess which projects lend themselves more to a “narrow and deep” approach
• Hear from data leaders about the metrics they put in place to evaluate the successes or failures of projects
