Data Scientist - Production Artificial Intelligence - Advanced Data Analytics BASF
Daniel Engel graduated in 2014 with a PhD in Computer Science summa cum laude, specializing in Machine Learning and Human-Computer Interaction. He joined BASF's Competence Center of Automation, focusing on developing Manufacturing Operations Management Solutions at the intersection of Operation and Information Technology. As a project lead, Daniel has been driving Industry 4.0 initiatives, emphasizing data integration, engineering, predictive maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of production plants. Currently, he focuses on Generative Artificial Intelligence, specifically in Production AI solutions, and develops CoPilot applications for BASF Operations.
