Dimitri Metzger gives a strong presentation in our USE CASES Stream on connecting GPT language model to chemical language model to suggest novel molecules based on favourable property profile.
Dimitri is an IT Business Partner for Healthcare R&D at Merck.
1. Where does MERCK stand in integrating generative AI in the enterprise landscape?
Quite advanced actually: Merck was one of the first companies to bring an own version of ChatGPT, “myGPT@Merck” into the company. At the same time, we started realizing more differentiated use cases where we already leverage our own data in combination with LLMs.
2. What is the biggest challenge for existing chemical language models?
Before ChatGPT was in the news we already had an internal chemical-language-model. However, it lacked the intuitiveness and integration ease of the product from OpenAI.
3. How could GPT further assist in the future?
For our chemical-language-models, it will provide a user-friendly interface and support connectivity to other data. For Generative AI in general, I expect that we will see more assistants be available that will make our work more efficient while other Generative AI solutions will run for users unnoticed as part of a business process.
4. What do you expect from attending the GenAI EUROPE conference?
Lot of great discussions on how to leverage Generative AI to drive business value and what best practices and challenges we can share along the way.
Read more about what we have in store for you at Generative AI EUROPE in our agenda.
