Sam Hamilton is the Senior Vice President and Head of Data and AI at Visa. His role involves leveraging data and artificial intelligence to create value for Visa and its clients, driving innovation that uplifts everyone, everywhere. The Data and AI Platform at Visa includes Data, Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Predictive AI, and Generative AI Platforms. Prior to joining Visa in 2015, he headed the Data Technology at PayPal. As the former CTO at Shopping.com, Sam managed all technological aspects, from research to content operations. Sam holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics, a post-bachelor’s in computer science, a master's degree in computer applications, and holds several patents in digital and mobile real-time intelligence, analytics, AI, and document retrieval systems. Sam is committed to developing solutions that incorporate the latest technologies and his interests include "Data for Good," "Responsible AI," "AI for Good," and "Data Team for Good."
