Responsible AI Lead BBC

James leads on Responsible Data and AI for the BBC, ensuring that the BBC’s use of data and AI align with their values, priorities and legal and regulatory obligations. He is responsible for overall governance of internal development, use, and procurement of AI, and for turning principles into practice by providing teams with tools and support, and building capacity and culture throughout the BBC. Previously he worked in the BBC’s conversational AI team, after many years travelling the world as a radio reporter and producer.
