Amber Lesniak, MPA, is an accomplished data privacy leader, technologist, and emerging AI enthusiast with a proven track record of promoting equality and safeguarding personal data. As a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), she holds industry-recognized certifications from esteemed organizations such as the IAPP (FIP, CIPM, CIPT, CIPP/E, CIPP/US), ISACA (CDPSE), and PMI (PMP, PMI-RMP). Amber currently serves as the Global Data Privacy Manager at Westinghouse Electric Company, where she drives the ambitious goals of the Global Data Privacy & AI Governance Team in promoting a culture of privacy and ethical AI awareness, personal data integrity, and collaborative partnership. In her current role, Amber is spearheading the design and operationalization of Westinghouse’s first-ever AI Governance Program. This initiative aligns with the EU AI Act and other evolving AI regulations, emphasizing ethical and responsible AI use while fostering innovation to maintain a competitive edge. Her efforts focus on integrating AI into projects, products, and services while harmonizing compliance with cutting-edge technology. Amber’s diverse professional background spans healthcare, medical technology, application technology, and government administration, where she has navigated complex regulations including HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and PIPEDA. Her current focus is on mastering AI regulatory frameworks, such as the EU AI Act. Her dedication to innovation, compliance, and ethical practices continues to drive impactful solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of privacy and AI. Amber educational background includes a bachelor's degree in politics and government from Ripon College, a technical diploma in paralegal studies from Madison College, and a master’s degree in public administration from Arkansas State University. In her spare time, Amber enjoys running, traveling, and exploring local cafes and dog friendly breweries with her three French Bulldogs.
