AI Ops Roundup
A quick look at the lessons learnt from speakers from Orange and Nike
Add bookmarkThis week, here at the AI, Data and Analytics Network we held an event about the important world of AI Ops.
AI Ops stands for artificial intelligence for IT operations and refers to platforms that leverage machine learning (ML) and analytics to automate IT operations. You can read our explainer on ML Ops here but in short both speakers, Sai Sharanya Nalla, Principal Data Scientist for Nike and Alexis Koalla, Head of Operations Transformation towards Agile and DevSecOps at Orange both stressed the importance of AI Ops in achieving a fully-fledged data-driven organization.
Sai ran through how an enterprise can built their ow AI Ops on Amazon’s AWS, leading us through how and enterprise can first set up a form of observability via mechanisms such as telemetry data, all the way through to how a business can then automate these processes after first setting up a way to collect and store data efficiently, before moving onto pattern mining and querying.
Meanwhile, Koalla focussed more on the why an enterprise needs to set up such a system. Believing that although he himself comes from a very complex industry, telecommunications, that AI Ops is essential for any serious enterprise that is looking to cut costs and increase inefficiencies during this period of global strife.
